Impact of Mixed-Use Developments on Property taxes. Does it really help?
Is it really true that some folks just want to use the Winthrop property for commercial or mixed use development?
Such use would not result in any significant tax revenue that would better fund our schools OR lower our property taxes, as shown by a study recently conducted by the town of Wenham.
